Our goal in raising suri alpacas is to breed animals with quality fiber and excellent conformation. 

We are Kim and Deborah Hatch of Bluffton, IN.

After much reading and research and going to visit suri alpacas and their owners we decided these lovely, engaging creatures were for us.

My husband Kim retired after 20+ years in the US Navy. Kim retired last year in Louisiana and wanted to move back to his home state of Indiana to put down roots and enjoy a more grounded lifestyle. He has had quite a few overseas duty stations while I stayed here in the States as I didn't want to part with my dogs or put them in quarantine for an extended period of time. We are very animal orientated. We are owned by 3 border collies, a terrier mix and 2 cats, Dolly and James.

 I have worked in vet clinics as a vet tech and as a kennel manager for a Humane Society since I moved here from New Zealand. While growing up in New Zealand and living in Australia I was involved with riding and training horses.
